Security
Though we use encryption technology to protect your personal details, we can’t guarantee the security of any data you disclose online. You accept the inherent security risks of providing information over the internet, and will not hold us responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence or wilful default.

Your personal information is also protected in the UK by the Data Protection Act 1998, which states that the information we hold about you should be processed fairly and lawfully, be accurate, relevant and not excessive, not be retained for longer than necessary and be kept up to date. If you’d like to review the personal information we hold about you – or you have any other queries – please write to us at CarterGore, 103 St Mary’s Road, Garston, Liverpool L19 2NW. We may charge an administration fee to handle your request.

Squarespace
Our online shop is hosted by Squarespace. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Squarespace's data storage, databases and the general Squarespace application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall and adhere to GDPR legislation. For further information, you may also want to read Squarespace's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

Payment
When you purchase from us online, Squarespace stores your credit card data. Payments on our site are processed using Stripe a secure and trusted online payment gateway. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor, and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available. It is encrypted through Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After the transaction is completed, the information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure secure handling of credit card information by our online shop and its service providers. For further information please read Squarespace's Terms of Service.
